IN-AND-BETWEEN

Rebecca von Matérn

09.09.26 - 19.09.26

In In-and-Between, the artist explores a liminal state—the threshold between movement and stillness, between control and surrender, between what has been and what has yet to take shape.

The exhibition revolves around the feeling of being both within and between something. Like standing in the eye of a storm, where everything suddenly becomes still. It is a space where presence in a single moment becomes so intense that the world around temporarily fades away.

Within this in-between space lies an opportunity to let go of control and become anchored in the present. Time seems to slow down, while the world around grows quieter, creating a gentle vacuum...

KAKELHUSET

Group Exhibition

09.06.26 - 09.09.26

During the summer of 2026, WAY gallery takes over Marievik with a site specific exhibition where contemporary art meets architecture, material and movement. In an area shaped by transformation, the exhibition becomes a way of re reading the site itself, existing in the space between an industrial past and a future still taking form.

The exhibition brings together works by Ellen Hedin, Emma Stocklassa, Erika Kristofersson Bredberg and Myrsini Alexandridi. Through sculpture, painting and spatial installations, the artists explore the relationship between body and structure, between the organic and the constructed. The works move through questions of memory, identity, materiality and human presence, echoing through Kakelhuset and the shifting landscape of Marievik.

Klara Wirsén Suchowiak

Group Exhibition

09.06.26 - 09.09.26

Klara Wirsén’s artistic practice is rooted in a fascination with the three-dimensional and the sculptural. The body, tactility, and emotional narrative are central to her work, with experiences of parenthood serving as a recurring point of departure.

She seeks to create works that are not only seen, but physically and emotionally experienced. Through sculptural objects, domestic spaces and inner states are explored and given form and presence in the physical world.

Wirsén’s work invites the viewer to be drawn in and to feel a strong urge to engage—both emotionally and physically. The viewer is encouraged to imagine furry surfaces against their skin...

Landet Stay

Art installation

09.03.26 - 15.09.26

As art increasingly moves beyond traditional exhibition formats, Landet Stay and WAY gallery have come together to explore a quieter, more natural way of living with art: not as something to visit, but as something to experience over time.
Just outside Trosa, one hour south of Stockholm, Landet Stay is hosting a small-scale residency bringing six emerging artists - Tove Eklund, Johan Bjurmar, Anna Mörner, Thyra Weiss, Elsa Ekman and Rebecca von Matérn - out of the city and into the landscape.

The Accretion of Sensibility

Gustaf Lilliestierna

16.04.26 – 29.04.26

WAY gallery presents The Accretion of Sensibility, a new exhibition by Gustaf Lilliestierna at Sotheby’s Stockholm. The exhibition brings together eleven oil paintings that unfold at the periphery of an implied narrative, where moments of quiet tension suggest both catastrophe and salvation. Rather than presenting fixed meanings, Lilliestierna works through suggestion and restraint, allowing ambiguity, absence and the unsaid to shape the visual experience.

By shifting focus away from the center of events to their margins, the paintings evoke a sense of uncertainty and contingency that invites individual interpretation.
