Opening Reception
This summer marks the opening of Galleri Valvet, a new exhibition space founded by Gabriel Falk within a former bank vault beneath Restaurant Njud in Skanör.
For its inaugural exhibition, Valvet, Gabriel Falk has invited WAY gallery to curate a presentation bringing together artists Estelle Graf, Wilda Wennelin and Amanda Malm. Through sculpture, painting, glass and mixed media, the exhibition explores themes of preservation, transformation and value.
Once designed to safeguard material wealth, the vault now becomes a setting for artistic inquiry. The works on view engage with questions of what we choose to protect, remember and carry forward, inviting visitors to consider value beyond financial systems.
"Skanör and Falsterbo have always been shaped by a rich history and a strong cultural interest. With this exhibition, I want to contribute to carrying that tradition forward," says Gabriel Falk.
