WAY gallery Sthlm presents the exhibition Finklädd och Förtvivlad with Estelle Graf.

With this new body of oil paintings, Estelle Graf continues her exploration of the human condition through a cast of anthropomorphic figures. The works depict scenes of existential struggle, where suit-clad animals step into the room as if frozen in a state between ritual and breakdown. There is always an undertone of absurdity, paired with a subtle sense of unease, echoing the contradictions of contemporary life. The exhibition brings into focus the fragile balance between the desire to uphold appearances and the yearning to shed the façade and reveal one’s true self.
