Sculptor
Jeanette Åkerberg
Jeanette Åkerberg is a ceramic artist based in Stockholm. Her sculptures pay homage to women and celebrate the beauty found in diversity.
Jeanette began working with ceramics in a course led by Pia Anliot. Her artistic practice centers on sculpted female figures, each one unique, reflecting both strength and fragility. The women in her work serve as reminders that every body is different, and every person is beautiful in their own way. Through her art, Jeanette invites viewers into a conversation about identity, self-worth, and the importance of representation.
“I want to create art that opens up for conversation, that awakens something in the eye of the beholder. And to show that different bodies exist and are equally gorgeous.”
Jeanette has exhibited at Women in Art at Miss Clara Hotel in Stockholm, at Blå Hallen in Höganäs, and her work has also been featured by The Ode To.
