Emil Andersson
Emil Andersson’s design practice explores the intersection of industrial references and crafted detail. In his work, raw materials and functional construction methods are reimagined into expressive objects that balance robustness with subtle individuality.
The chair SCAFF draws inspiration from the aesthetics of scaffolding, employing rough metal pipes and visible bolts to create a strong, architectural presence. By bleaching the fabric of the seat, Andersson introduces a unique pattern to each piece, setting up a dialogue between the hard, industrial steel and the softer textile surface.
Emil Andersson (b. 1999 in Varberg, Sweden) is a designer based in Lund. He is currently completing a bachelor’s degree in industrial design at Lund University, graduating in 2025.
