The exhibition "Livsviktigt nöje" at Nalen is a visual journey where each piece captures a fragment of the city's soul. The viewer is reminded that no matter how much the world changes, certain human rituals remain unchanged.

“Sometimes I feel driven by nostalgia. Almost as if I’m living my life through it. Of course, I’m not alone in feeling this way. That constant yearning for something in the past. I often feel like I’m searching for something that once existed, though I’m not exactly sure what it is, only that it feels essential. Sometimes it feels as if it resides in the buildings or hides inside the restaurants – and sometimes I find it, but just as quickly, it disappears again. It never stays long enough for me to see what it is, but long enough for me to be absolutely certain that I’ve found it. And my works are fragments of this feeling. It’s like a kind of confused, slightly melancholic companion walking beside you through life. Maybe it’s just ordinary melancholy, and perhaps it’s what shapes people’s search that I think permeates Stockholm’s entertainment scene.” – Estelle Graf
