Marta Veiga’s practice centers on playful abstraction in ceramics, often inviting touch and interaction. Bringing the spirit of Lisbon to Stockholm, she explores how we become aware of our bodies through our relationship with objects. Her tactile and colorful ceramic works blur the boundary between functional design and sculptural expression, encouraging physical engagement that heightens bodily awareness and sensory perception.

Her process is intuitive and material led, allowing form and texture to guide the emotional and spatial experience of her work. Through this approach, her pieces become both playful and reflective, offering encounters that merge the everyday with sculptural exploration.

Marta Veiga (b. 1997 in Portugal) lives and works in Stockholm. She holds a Master’s degree in Ceramics and Glass from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design, completed in 2023.
