Amanda Sartori Leksell
Amanda Sartori Leksell
Amanda Sartori Leksell is a Stockholm-based textile artist. In her work, she explores weaving and screen printing as tools for building vibrant, patterned textile worlds. She holds a BA in Textile Art at Konstfack and previously studied at Handarbetets Vänner in Stockholm.
Amanda’s practice is rooted in an intuitive approach to color and form. Drawing inspiration from nature and the imaginary, she creates tactile works where patterns and surfaces interact with space, textiles that assert a presence, that move beyond the wall or frame. Whether working on handwoven installations or richly layered prints, her goal is to let the materials speak, to create harmony and tension through color, rhythm, and structure.
In addition to her studio practice, Amanda has worked on a range of commissioned projects, from handwoven wall hangings for film productions to printed textiles for design collaborations. Her work has been shown in both solo and group exhibitions, including Ung Svensk Form (2025), Vårutställningen at Konstfack (2024), and Fiber Futures at Handarbetets Vänner Galleri (2024). She has been awarded numerous grants and scholarships, among them the Svensk Form Stipendium, Bengt Julin Foundation Grant, and several awards from the JL Eklund Craft Foundation.
