MELINA BADEJO
Melina Badejo is a Swedish/Nigerian artist based in Stockholm with a passion for abstract painting, using yarn as her primary medium. Guided by her academic background, holding a bachelor's degree in Textile from Konstfack University of Art, Craft and Design, her artistic journey is enriched.
Her art draws inspiration from a variety of sources, integrating her Nigerian heritage with her upbringing in Sweden. By blending different influences in her choice of colors and forms, she creates a distinct and personal character in her art. She places great importance on playing with color combinations and carefully selected materials, striving to create works that engage the viewer's emotions and provide a tactile sensory experience.
