Antonia Phil
Antonia L Pihl, born 94, is a Stockholm based fashion designer who graduated from Beckmans College of Design in 2018 and she is already endorsed by the celebrity scene of Sweden for her one-of-a-kind, made to order pieces. With her use of logos she makes sure there’s no doubt who the designer behind the creation is -- whether it comes to clothing or aquarelle paintings.
Antonia combines fashion, art and graphic design and she takes her inspiration from the male dominated interests of hers--the world of sport mixed with a 90’s skate vibe and streetwear aesthetics. Her style is rough but the process is playful. Through the graphics and raw presentation you can often see a touch of humor or sarcasm in her work as she pushes boundaries for what it means to be feminine vs masculine. It’s this androgenous approach that has gained her international attention too. In 2019 Vogue.com recognized Phil’s gender-bending designs and posted that, “One thing’s for certain, Pihl will hit the ground running”.
