Ellen Hedin (born in 1995, Stockholm, Sweden), is a designer and artist, working in the fields of furniture and sculpture. She graduated from HDK-Valand, Gothenburg in 2022 and holds a BFA in Design. Ellen is creating expressive pieces that resonates both an understanding of traditional craftsmanship but also a playfulness and a willing to break with old conventions.

The lamp series is inspired by plants and trees in urban spaces. The materials are recycled from the sea, food, and recycling stations. Combining unexpected encounters between materials like steel and the organic, such as seashells, is a recurring theme in Ellen Hedin’s work.
