Melinda MW is a Stockholm-based autodidact creator. Her practice draws from personal history, combining writing and design to explore emotion, memory, and identity.

"You've moved more than a diplomat's child," social services once remarked when they discovered Melinda had lived in nine homes across three countries by the age of seven. This transient upbringing sparked a lifelong search for a sense of home, a theme that deeply informs her work.

Melinda's creative process is split between writing and design, each offering a different kind of expression. Writing allows her to delve into the subconscious and explore darker emotional landscapes, while design provides a lighter, more playful counterbalance. Through vivid colors and tactile materials, her design work creates imaginative, uplifting spaces that offer respite. Together, these two practices form a dialogue between internal reflection and outward creation.
